The Satisfaction of Encountering the Joyful Heart of God

In the 1700′s Jonathan Edwards said that “the end of creation is that the creation might glorify God. Now what is glorifying God, but a rejoicing at the glory He has displayed.” Edwards struck a note that must be struck again in our day: The primary way that God is glorified by us is by our enjoying Him. In fact, Edwards would say, we don’t glorify God in anything we do if we aren’t enjoying Him. For how could a heart driven by duty exalt Him more than a heart driven by delight? But the problem for many of us is that we can’t fathom enjoying God because we don’t believe that He could or ever would enjoy us. These sessions (MP3s) are aimed at developing the theology of enjoying the One who enjoys those whom He has redeemed.

The End-Time Global Prayer Movement

The greatest expression of day and night prayer in human history is emerging in our generation. It’s one of the key signs of the times indicating the uniqueness of the hour in which we live. These sessions are aimed at communicating the theological and historical ground that the end-time prayer movement rests upon. To the church in Corinth, the apostle Paul said “I am determined to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified.” (2:2) These sessions give an introductory glance into what lies behind the veil of Christian jargon concerning the Cross of Christ and what is meant by Paul’s fierce determination to know this and this alone. There is no greater treasure in this age or the next than the intimate knowledge of the glory of the Cross of Christ. If the Gospel were a river, the Cross is the well-spring. And until we go to the source of the Gospel we don’t yet truly know the Gospel.
